AUSTIN, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University baseball team (9-5) suffered a 6-0 loss at St. Edward’s University (4-4) on Tuesday.
 
St. Edward’s plated three runs in the second inning with two walks, a hit batsman, and a double from Marshall Buford.  The Hilltoppers added RBI singles from Kyle Harris in the fourth and Ransom LaLonde in the fifth and seventh innings to push ahead 6-0.
 
Meanwhile the Rams stranded six runners, but could not scratch a run against three SEU hurlers.
 
Brad Nasis (1-1) picked up the win after allowing four hits and two walks while striking out nine in seven innings pitched.  Chris Pearson was tagged with the loss after allowing four runs on just one hit in 3.1 innings.
 
Jordan Fuller collected two of Texas Wesleyan’s five hits, going 2-for-3 on the day.
 
The Rams will return to action Friday, when they host Central Baptist College.  That game is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start at LaGrave Field.
