DALLAS, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University baseball team (25-12) earned a season sweep of Dallas Christian College with a pair of wins on Tuesday. The Rams topped the Crusaders 3-1 in game one before taking game two 6-5 to run their win streak to six games.
It was a low scoring defensive struggle in game one compared to the high scoring affair in Tyler, TX less than 24 hours prior.
Dallas Christian took a 1-0 lead in the first with a Kale McQuillen sacrifice fly.
The Rams got the run back in the third with a
Henry Yates RBI single to tie the game at 1-1. Yates would convert on two sacrifice fly opportunities to tie and take the lead earning all three RBI in the 3-1 win.
Michael Scruggs (3-1) got the win working five innings. Scruggs surrendered one run on six hits to go along with one walk and one strikeout.
Dallas Christian put up three runs in the first inning of game two to take a solid lead early.
The Rams fight back with two runs in the fourth.

Dakota Lee scores on a wild pitch to make a 3-2 ball game.
The Crusaders get a run back in the bottom half of the inning after Samuel Stampley triples and a Ram error makes it a 4-2 lead.
Wesleyan rallies in the fifth to tie the game starting with a
Brian White triple to lead off the inning leading to a
Charles Tabone RBI double. Lee keeps it going with a RBI single. He eventually scores on a wild pitch late in the inning to make it 5-5.
Tabone drives in a run with a sacrifice fly for a 6-5 lead, and
Patrick Stanley shuts down the side to earn his eighth save of the season to seal the game two win.
Connor Zamora (1-0) gets his first win in one scoreless inning of relief work. Zamora made short work of the Crusaders with a strikeout and forcing a double play in the fifth inning.
The Rams get back to conference action with a home series against Huston-Tillotson University starting with a nine inning contest on Friday, March 29 at LaGrave Field starting at 3:00 p.m.
