FORT WORTH, TX:  In the rubber match of a three-game series, the 20th ranked Texas Wesleyan University baseball team (3-3) suffered an 11-1 loss at the hands of Avila University (2-1).

Avila started the game with back-to-back base hits from Anthony Zicarelli and Kyle Simmons.  Two batters later. Ryan Ford smashed a two-run double to right.  With runners at second and third, Alex Lopez prevented further damage by getting Anthony Biondo to line into a double play.
