FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University baseball program (12-9) dropped an 11-3 filler game to Arlington Baptist College (11-12) at La Grave Field on Tuesday.

The Rams, after coming off of a 16-0 conference win over Mid-America Christian, used the spring break game to give 20 players a chance to get some work in.

The Patriots quickly got out to a 5-0 lead after two innings of play. Texas Wesleyan found home plate in the sixth inning.Â
Tyler Kamtz slammed a double to get into scoring position with one away.Â
Adam Turpin knocked in a run in a pinch hit spot with a two bagger.Â
Dakota Lee singled to keep the pressure on, but the Rams left three on base to end the inning.

Arlington Baptist College added a pair of runs in the seventh, before Wesleyan came back to add two runs in the eighth inning. Â
Dylan Measells notched a pinch hit single, to make way for aÂ
Joel Rickman home run slam over the left center fence. He rounded the bases to make it a 7-3 game.

The Patriots added four more runs in the ninth to take an 11-3 win. Texas Wesleyan out-hit Arlington Baptist 12-10 despite the lopsided score. The Rams worked five different pitchers in the contest. The Wesleyan pitchers struck out nine, while the Arlington Baptist pitchers only had five.

Rickman went 1 for 4 with a homerun and two RBI. Kamtz went 2 for 3 with a run scored. Turpin went 1 for 3 with a RBI. Measells went 1 for 1 with a run scored.

The Rams will travel to Chickasha, OK for a three game series with the University of Science and Arts (OK). Wesleyan will start with a nine inning game on Friday, March 14 at 2:00 pm.
