FORT WORTH, TX: The
bracket has been set for the 2015 Sooner Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament. Six teams will vie for the conference crown in a double-elimination bracket at Oklahoma City University's Jim Wade Stadium May 1-4.
Tickets for the event are $7 for general admission and $5 for students.
Live video and stats of the games will be available via the SAC's Stretch Internet portal at a cost of $8.95 per game or $24.95 for a tournament pass.
Fourth ranked Oklahoma Baptist (21-2 in conference play) is the top-seed in the tournament followed by No. 3 Oklahoma City (19-2), University of Science & Arts (15-8), Wayland Baptist (13-8), Texas Wesleyan (12-11), and Southwestern Christian (10-14).
The tournament will begin with Oklahoma Baptist vs. Southwestern Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, followed by Science & Arts vs. Wayland Baptist at 2:30 p.m., and Oklahoma City vs. Texas Wesleyan at 6:00 p.m.
The Rams were swept in a three-game series with Oklahoma City this season. Texas Wesleyan actually outhit OCU 28-27 in the series, but suffered three narrow losses.
The winner of that game will play the winner of USAO and WBU at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the loser will take on the loser of OBU and SCU at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Texas Wesleyan finished the regular season at 20-26 overall and 12-11 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
