CLEREMONT, FL: The Texas Wesleyan University softball team (11-14) took a 6-0 loss to Concordia University Ann Arbor (15-6) before grabbing a 4-1 win from University Northwestern Ohio (7-7) at the 2016 Spring Game on Friday.

The Cardinal jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first, and then added two more in the second to make it a 4-0 game.

The Lady Rams posted a run in the fourth inning after
Bailey Terry smacked a single, Concordia made an error to score Terry to a 4-1 lead.

The Cardinal went on to add two more runs on the way to a 6-1 win.

The Lady Rams and the Racers played a scoreless game until Wesleyan busted the game open with a four run fourth.
Hannah Tomme got a shot through the gap for a base hit before swiping second.
Demi Dotson followed suit with a single and a steal of second to put two runners into scoring position. The Lady Rams got some help with an error before
Dani West laid into one for a RBI single.
Samantha Vasquez brought two more home with a base knock to make it a 4-0 advantage.

The Racers would only get one run across the plate the rest of the way as the Lady Rams managed the game defensively to grab a 4-1 win. Â Â Â

Vasquez led the Lady Rams going 3 for 4 with two RBI. West went 2 for 4 with one RBI in the win.

Windham (5-5) went the distance yielding only one run while scattering five hits and striking out one.

The Lady Rams will resume conference play with a double header on the road with Oklahoma City University on Thursday, March 24th starting at 5:00 pm.Â
