GRAND PRAIRIE, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University baseball club (29-14 12-4 SAC) notched consecutive win number 14 in a 5-3 win over NAIA No.13 Oklahoma City University (31-13, 12-4 SAC) at the Ballpark at Grand Prairie on Friday.

The Rams took an early edge in the first that started with a
Ryan Adam lead-off double down the right field line. Texas Wesleyan played small ball with
Blake Seaton moved the runner before
Casey Moses got the run home on a 6-3 RBI out to take a 1-0 edge.

Zach Aitken (6-3) did a magnificent job, pitching with just a one run lead and shutting the Stars down for seven straight innings.

The Rams helped their pitcher out with a rally in the seventh. The inning started with six consecutive hits.
Jonathan Bravo hit a shot in the right-center gap for a RBI double.
Hayden Muns came through in a pinch hitting spot with a RBI base hit up the middle.
Ryan Adam laid down a brilliant bunt to move the runners, but ended up reaching first easy on an infield base hit to keep the rally going.
Blake Seaton followed with a RBI single through the right side before
Alex Gudac capped the run with a opposite field RBI single into shallow right to give the Rams a 5-0 advantage.

The Stars finally got on the board with a run in the eighth on a fielder's choice RBI after a Joe Haddox lead-off single led to Joe Lytle beating out a double play to put the first run on the board.

Oklahoma City finally got something going against
Zach Aitken in the ninth, adding two runs before head coach
Mike Jeffcoat called on
Alex Lopez to close things out. That is exactly what Lopez did, striking one out and getting and groundout to record his first save of the season and seal a 5-3 Ram win.

Aitken went 8.1 innings, allowing three runs on five hits, walking four and striking out four.

Gudac went 2 for 3 with one RBI. Muns went 1 for 1 with one RBI. Adam and
Erick Quesada both went 2 for 4 with a run scored.

The Rams will finish up the series Oklahoma City University with a double header tomorrow at the Ballpark at Grand Prairie. Game one first pitch is set for a 12:00 pm start.
