GRAND PRAIRIE, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University baseball club (31-14, 14-4 SAC) ran their streak to 16 consecutive wins with a sweep of NAIA No.13 Oklahoma City University (31-15, 12-6 SAC) at the Ballpark at Grand Prairie on Saturday. The Rams topped the Stars 3-2 before holding off the OCU 2-1 in game two.

In game one the Stars jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning starting with a Dylan Delso RBI sacrifice fly to center field with the base loaded. Cory Linn lined a rocket off the left field wall with the base loaded, but it was hit so hard that
Ryan Adam was able to get it back into the infield for just a RBI single.
Ricky Hull did a great job to get out of trouble, getting two out to minimize the damage.

The Rams got some help in the bottom of the first with a two out error that turned into big trouble for the Stars.
Casey Moses drew a walk, before
Alex Gudac singled through the left side to put men on first and second.
Erick Quesada reached on a drop third strike, but the catcher tried to throw Gudac out on a big turn rounding third. Gudac instead darted for home and a throwing error allowed two runs to score to tie the game.

The Rams added the difference maker in the fifth as
Blake Seaton hit a two out double to right-center field.
Casey Moses came through with a huge RBI single to left field to grab a 3-2 edge.Â

Ricky Hull (6-2) was outstanding allowing just the two runs in the first and pitching six shutout innings from there. He limited the Stars to just two runs, though none were earned, on three hits, eight walks, while sitting down five.

Moses went 1 for 2 with one RBI. Bravo went 1 for 2. Seaton and Gudac each went 1 for 3 with a run scored.

In game two, the two teams were locked in a pitcher's duel, as
Stephen Yancey (6-1) and Skylar Janisse showed off their guns with three scoreless innings to start.

The Rams got on the board in the fourth after an error led Seaton reaching before Moses singled down the right field line to put runners at the corners.
James Ziegler brought the two runs home with a chopped single up the middle to take a 2-0 lead.

Oklahoma City cut the lead in the sixth. Landan Coon hit a base hit through right side, and Delso singled with a smash just off the glove of a diving Ziegler at first. JJ Bissell singled to center to plate one to make it 2-1 Rams.

Alex Lopez (2) entered the game in the seventh to seal the win for the Rams and complete the sweep with a 2-1 game two win. Yancey got the win with six inning of work allowing one run on five hits, allowed two walks, and struck out five.

Zeigler went 1 for 2 with 2 RBI. Moses went 2 for 3 in the game.
With the sweep, the Rams are currently a half game up on Southwestern Christian (16-5) in the conference standings, who went bested the Rams 2-1 in their series, Â and 1.5 game ahead of USAO (13-5). At 12-6, the Stars fall from first to fourth in the conference standings.

The Rams will hit the road and travel to Shawnee, OK for a series with Saint Gregory's University starting with a nine inning game at Bill Nicklas Field on Friday, April 22. First pitch for that game scheduled for 3:00 pm at.
