SHAWNEE, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University baseball team (32-14, 15-4 SAC) took its 17th consecutive victory with an 8-2 win in the opener of a three-game Sooner Athletic Conference series at St. Gregory's University (20-27, 6-13 SAC) on Friday.
The red-hot Rams started the game on fire.
Ryan Adam ripped a leadoff triple to right (pushing the team's school record to 25 three-baggers on the season).
Blake Seaton followed with a sac fly and just like that the Rams were on the board.
James Ziegler led off the second with his second home run of the season.
The Cavaliers got a run back in the third with a leadoff double from Peter Doyle and an RBI single from Jordan Martin, but the Rams exploded in the fifth inning.

Casey Moses, and
Erick Quesada all singled in the inning. A walk and a St. Gregory's error added to the rally that saw ten batters come to the plate and five men score.
Dylan Measells led off the sixth with a pinch-hit double and later scored. St. Gregory's added an RBI double from David Martinez in the seventh to cap the scoring at 8-2.
Zach Aitken (7-3) pitched seven innings allowing two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four.
Avery Sullivan finished the game with two scoreless innings of relief. Jordan Weber (4-6) took the loss after allowing seven runs (five earned) on eight hits and a walk in 4.1 innings pitched.
The Rams outhit the Cavaliers 10-6. The ten hits came from ten different batters.
Blake Seaton drove in three runs in the win.
The Rams and Cavs will complete their three-game series with a doubleheader beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
