FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University softball team (23-27, 14-12 SAC) picked up a pair of wins (8-0, 9-1) over Bacone College (7-40, 4-20 SAC) at Sycamore Park on Wednesday.

The Lady Rams started game one with an early lead in the first.
Dani West beat out an infield single and stole second on the next play.
Bailey Terry smacked a base hit into center field to for a RBI and a 1-0 lead.

Brittany Rosenberry (11-12) and the Lady Rams defense shut the Warriors down the entire game while Wesleyan put up crooked number in the fourth and fifth.

TWU had a five run, six hit fourth inning that started with a
Demi Dotson two RBI single up the middle with the bases loaded.
Kayla Prachyl followed that up with shot to deep right center for a pair a RBI. Terry capped the rally with a RBI single through the left side of the infield to it a 6-0 lead.

The Lady Rams added a couple more in the fifth to activate the run-rule.
Kaley Batchlear singled up the middle and
Demi Dotson ran out an infield single to load the bases. Prachyl laid into a shot to center field to plate two runs for a walk-off two RBI single to end the game 8-0.

Prachyl led the team and posted four RBI in a 3 for 4 game. West went 3 for 3 with a run scored. Terry went 2 for 3 with a pair of RBI in the win. Dotson also went 2 for 3 with two RBI. All nine Lady Rams in the lineup recorded a hit. Â

Rosenberry tossed all five innings in the win. She allowed just one hit in the shutout, had no walks, and sat down four.

In game two, the Bacone Warriors picked up an early lead in the first inning after a lead-off single lead to a Mackenzie Flaska RBI groundout to take a 1-0 lead.

That lead did not last very long as Texas Wesleyan took the lead in the bottom of the second.

Batchlear led off the third inning with a base hit through the right side. Bailey Sugg moved the runner on a sacrifice bunt to set up a West RBI bunt. Terry drove in the go-ahead run with a RBI groundout to take a 2-1 lead.

Texas Wesleyan busted out with a five run rally in the fourth inning that started with a
Lauren Davis two-run home run over the left field fence. Batchlear doubled down the left field line before West hit a no-doubter line drive three-run smash over the right-center wall to make it a 7-1 lead.

The Lady Rams kept hitting and Terry capped off a three hit inning with a two RBI single through the left side to activate the run rule again for a 9-1 win.

Lauren Wernet (5-7) picked up the win, allowing one run and one walk on five hits while striking out three over six innings of work.

West led the Rams and went 3 for 3 with four RBI. Terry went 2 for 4 with three RBI. Davis went 1 for 3 with a pair of RBI. Batchlear went 2 for 3 in the win.

The Lady Rams will celebrate Senior Day this Saturday, April 30 in a double header with Southwestern Christian University starting at noon at Sycamore Park.
