Lady Rams Sweep Bacone

MUSKOGEE, OK: The Texas Wesleyan Softball team (18-24, 9-9 SAC) took two 8-1 wins away from Bacone College (5-24, 3-13 SAC) on Saturday.
 
The Lady Rams picked up two run in the second inning with a Bailey Sugg RBI fielder's choice before Kayla Prachyl knocked in one with a RBI sacrifice fly to center for a 2-0 lead.
 
Wesleyan continued the streak, starting with a Demi Dotson RBI single. Lauren Davis gave herself up to earn a RBI on a sacrifice bunt. Kaley Batchlear capped the inning with a RBI base hit to make it a 5-0 advantage.
 
Bailey Terry doubled in the fourth to plate one to make it a 6-0 lead.
 
Terry doubled again in the sixth for a RBI before a Dotson RBI single made it an 8-0 lopsided game.
 
The Warriors picked up one in the bottom of the sixth, but the Rams took the 8-1 win.
 
Brittany Rosenberry (8-11) picked up the win with another complete game win. She gave up just one run while scattering six hits, gave up no walks, to go along with three strikeouts.
 
In game two, Prachyl got things started with a RBI double for an early 1-0 edge.
 
Samantha Vasquez got in on the action, starting a three run rally in the sixth with a RBI single. She later scored on a passed ball. Dotson earned another RBI with a base knock to make it a 4-0 lead.
 
Dani West hit a RBI single for a 5-0 advantage in the sixth before the Warriors finally got on the in the bottom of the inning.
 
The Lady Rams posted three runs in the seventh on a few Bacone errors to make it the 8-1 score that would eventually be the final.
 
The Lady Rams will play SAGU on Tuesday, April 12 starting at 3:00 pm at Sycamore Park.
