FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (18-2) took a 3-0 match win from Arlington Baptist University (14-8) on Dig Pink night at the Sid Richardson Center on Tuesday.

The Lady Rams adorned the Sid Richardson Center with a plethora of pink in honor of breast cancer awareness. The team raised donations for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research with a bake sale and raffle.

TXWES hit .270, while the Patriots could only muster .063. The also out-blocked their opponent 7.5 to 2.0. Arlington Baptist was fantastic defensively, especially in regards to keeping the ball alive and defending the attack out of the setting position. The Patriots had three different players hit double digits in digs, but the Lady Rams simply outplayed Arlington Baptist.

Defensively,
Sarah Benitez notched a career high 10 digs and
Kayla Hayes added ten more.
Tierra Coverson had five blocks, five digs, and an ace in the win.

Offensively,
Shaylee Griffin earned a career high 13 kills, hitting .385 in a break-out night.
Shelby Stinnett continued her outstanding senior campaign with 41st career double-double. She threw down 11 kills and 13 digs, hitting .348. Jaramillo went errorless with seven kills, hitting .363.
Brittni Mohle added seven kills in the win.

Hannah Altman topped out at 23 assists, three aces, and eight digs.
Madison Yeager posted a season high 17 assists for the Lady Rams.

The Lady Rams are set for a five match road swing, starting with a trip to Shawnee, OK to wrestle with Saint Gregory's University on Friday, October 13. The match is set for a 7 p.m. start at Sumner Field House.
