Lady Rams End Road Swing With 3-0 Win At Wayland

Multiple players hit statistical milestones.

Plainview, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (22-3, 11-3 SAC) capped a five game road stretch with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-22) win over Wayland Baptist University (16-11, 8-7 SAC) at the Hutcherson Center on Saturday.
 
The Rams went 5-1 in the five game road swing, averaging .230 hitting and 1.5 aces per set during that time. With the regular season sweep, TXWES is now 14-15 all-time against the Wayland Baptist.
 
Shelby Stinnett posted a season high 18 digs and in the process, eclipsed 1,300 career digs. Her career dig total stands at 1,304. The senior also sits at 210 career aces after tacking on three in match today. The school record for career aces is currently held by Lori Swart (1994-97) with 260.
 
Sasha Robinson notched 22 assists in the win and upped her career assist to 1,500 even. Tierra Coverson was lethal defending the net, taking seven total blocks. She also hit a milestone with 105 total blocks this season. Kayla Hayes had double digit digs for the second consecutive match, grabbing 14 today.
 
Brittni Mohle led the team with eight kills, adding seven digs in the match. Brianna Jaramillo had seven kills and got in on five blocks.
 
TXWES will be back in action on Friday, November 3, hosting University of Science & Arts in the friendly confines of the Sid Richardson Center. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.
