FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University women's basketball team (0-1) dropped a 78-50 exhibition contest to NCAA DI Texas Christian University at Schollmaier Arena on Thursday.
 
TXWES got some work in against a TCU team that is tough to beat at home. The Lady Rams tied the game at 9-9 in the early goings, and although the Rams didn't make it easy, the Frogs slowly built up a lead. The Rams outshot the Frogs from the three-point line, 33 percent to 20 percent, and the free throw line, 56 percent to 53 percent.
 
TCU out rebounded Texas Wesleyan 51-28 and moved the ball well, to the tune of 26 assists. The Frogs also shot 49 percent from the field,
 
Alycia Louallen led the Lady Rams with 13 points, while Karah Sicurella dropped in nine points and four rebounds in the effort. Lexi Burns and Brooke McClure added six points each. Lorian Benjamin had four points, five boards and three assists for the Lady Rams.
 
The Lady Rams will travel to Stephenville, TX for another exhibition with NCAA DII Tarleton State University. The game is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. start this Saturday, November 4.
