The Rams
The Rams showed improvement in Week 2 against Millsaps and look to make another leap in Week 3. Special teams has been a bright spot for the Rams, as has the passing game.
Through two games, the Rams are averaging over 23 yards on kick returns while averaging 33.5 yards per punt. In the passing game, the Rams have averaged 193.5 yards per game, with
Kane Hardin putting up 178 yards per game and completing 49% of his passes.
Erik Richards has been the team's leading receiver through two games, pacing the club in catches (9), Yards (147), and touchdowns (2).
Look for the Rams to settle their nerves in the first half. Through two games, Texas Wesleyan has outscored their opponents 27-13 in the second half after getting outscored 59-0 in the first half. That's a trend Head Coach
Joe Prud'homme would like to reverse and just one of the topics he discussed with Jimmy "The Saint" Christopher on this week's edition of
1st&10.

NMHU Cowboys
The Cowboys, who play out of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), opened the season with a 23-22 win over conference foe Dixie State University. That win snapped a 12-game losing streak for the NMHU program, which is under new direction in Head Coach Marty Fine this season.
Week 2 did not go as well for the Cowboys as they ran into a juggernaut in Colorado School of Mines, a perennial power in the RMAC, who rolled to a 70-0 win in Golden, CO.
Marty Fine is in his first season at NMHU after moving from Bryant University where he was the program's all-time winningest coach.
In NMHU's win over Dixie State, running back Dione Alston put up 110 yards and a score on the ground, averaging 5.8 yards per carry. Junior quarterback Danny Cameron went for 152 yards and 2 TD's while completing 50% of his passes.
