OKLAHOMA CITY – Melissa Gonzalez has been named the SAC women's cross country runner of the week.

Gonzalez, a junior from Waco, Texas, pocketed the third league runner of the week honor of her Lady Rams career.

Gonzalez won the Ranger Collegiate Cross Country Invitational with a time of 19 minutes, 37 seconds, beating out 31 runners in the 5,000-meter event. Texas Wesleyan finished fourth in the race's team standings Friday in Ranger, Texas.
