OKLAHOMA CITY – The Texas Wesleyan University women's cross country team placed fourth at the 2018 Sooner Athletic Conference championships on Saturday at Woodson Park.
Melissa Gonzalez finished seventh and in doing so took home an All-Conference nod along with a national championship qualifier tag for the third time in her career.
The junior from Waco ran a time of 19:19, her third best of the season.
OCU captured its fourth-consecutive title.
Vidalez fell just two seconds short of a second All-Conference nod.
The field of 62 were met with partly cloudy skies with winds out of the South at 15 mph and 56 degree temperatures.
