Box Score CHICKASHA, OK - It was an unpredictable evening Thursday night in Oklahoma as Texas Wesleyan Men's Basketball (6-5, 1-2 SAC) lost to the University of Science and Arts (8-2, 2-1 SAC) 94-81.
Dedrian Parmer averaged 8.3 points per game in USAO's first nine games. Clay Long averaged 3.3. The two combined for a jaw-dropping 49 points off the bench - 22 and 27, respectively - to fuel the Drover victory. They combined to shoot 16-of-22. Long hit a whopping eight three pointers. USAO starters only accounted for a mere 24 points, held in check by the Rams' defense. Long had hit only five three pointers in his previous 105 minutes on the floor.

Andre Edwards Jr. In 19 minutes off the bench, he was the Rams' catalyst scoring a team high 16 points on 6-of-11 from the floor.
Sam Lorenzen turned in a season high 13 points while freshman Peyton Salle got the start and turned in 12 points. The two combined to hit six threes - and boy did the Rams take and make a lot of them. 13-of-36 from long range - the most threes made and taken this season. Edwards Jr. hit four of them.
Sallee and Lorenzen hit three treys to take a 9-3 early lead.
Joe Cook-Green gave the Rams a 10-point lead for the third time in the first half - 41-31 - before the Drovers went on a 13-3 run to end the first half. With 15:18 to play, Texas Wesleyan took a 56-52 lead but that's when the Rams went cold. USAO went on a 17-1 run before
Diing Lwal Diing ended a 6:30 drought from the floor.
Rob Thomas scored seven points with a team-high seven assists - with zero turnovers. Diing added nine points and seven boards off the bench.
Juwan Jones also came off the bench, scoring seven in 11 minutes. Both team's benches scored more than their starters.
WHAT'S NEXT
Texas Wesleyan hosts Mid-America Christian at 4 p.m. to try and turn around some early, minor conference woes. MACU is 8-3, but also just 1-2 in the Sooner Athletic Conference getting their first win Thursday, beating up on Southwest Assemblies of God, 81-65. MACU has won the last two in Fort Worth but has fallen off after winning a title in 2016. The matchup will battle two of the last three NAIA National Champions.
