Gold Line Dancers Light up The Sid with Spring Showcase

FORT WORTH, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan Gold Line Dancers held their first ever Spring Showcase Monday evening in the Sid Richardson Center.  The event highlighted the team's competition dance numbers, while the Gold Line also showed off other choreographed performances from their year.
Four dancers performed their contest solos, and each member of the team was recognized throughout the show.  Wayne Snow, who runs the game day music at TXWES football games, was the emcee, interacting with the crowd with Willie the Ram by his side!  The dancers collaborated with the theater department's advanced lighting 3 class to turn the Sid Richardson Center into a theater styled light show, and the evening ended with a Texas Wesleyan themed avant-garde styled fashion show!  The audience was invited to sit on the runway and be up close and personal for the fashion show!  The fashions were created and designed by Director Emily Snow and each dancer.

Coach Snow talked about the fashion show, "We wanted the audience to be close so they could see all the crazy things we put together!  Bria was wearing wings built from football ticket stubs.  Jordan was wearing wings built from leftover marketing materials.  We had basketball jerseys, football jerseys and graduation gowns represented!"

Team member Arlyssa Moaning talked about her experience, "Last night was so amazing, I am blessed to have been in the inaugural dance line and been able to be part of this whole experience.  Thank you to everyone who came out to see what we have been working so hard on!  Your support means the world to us!"

The Gold Line will host their annual spring auditions, on April 22nd at 1pm in the Sid Richardson Gym.  Please inquire with Coach Snow with questions esnow@txwes.edu
