Texas Wesleyan Spirit competes at NCA, NDA camps

The Texas Wesleyan spirit teams were back in action this weekend, attending the National Cheerleading Association and National Dance Alliance camps host by Varsity TV. The event took place at SMU and the teams were challenged with multiple evaluations for a bid to Spring Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL.

The TxWes Goldline Dancers took home the Spirit Stick on day 2, superior ribbons, Bronze Nationals bid, and placed 4th in their division. Accolades for individuals included NDA recognition award "Pay it Forward" for Kayla Karnes, All-American nominations for Jordan Grinage and Arlyssa Moaning, an All-American Dance team nomination for Moaning and coaches recognition award "Pay it Forward" for head coach Emily Snow.

The TxWes Cheer Squad took home the Spirit Stick on day 1, along with 3 Superior Ribbons, and placed 2nd place in D2 small co-ed open competition with a Bronze Bid. Travis Reed was asked to be on the collegiate staff.
 
NCA and NDA Spring Nationals are set for April 3-7, 2019.
 
Catch the TxWes Spirit team in action at the first football game on Saturday, September 1 at Farrington Field. The Rams will take on Kansas Wesleyan starting at 7:00 p.m.
