Gonzalez leads Texas Wesleyan at The Master's

SANTA CLARITA, CA - Texas Wesleyan Women's Cross Country team was just a handful amongst over 1,000 different runners at The Master's University XC Invitational Saturday. Running up against competition from NCAA Division I schools including UCLA and USC, Texas Wesleyan finished 17th out of 22 teams.

Melissa Gonzalez ran the top time for the Lady Rams - 19:32.2, 58th overall. Rianna Vidales was 75th - 20:04.1 and Chloe Riley was right behind her in 92nd place - 20:32.5.

The women ran the 5K course, a two loop course that is approximately 85% dirt paths, 15% grass, 60% rolling terrain, and 40% flat. There is one small hill that was run twice.

WHAT'S NEXT:
Saturday October 6 the Lady Rams will head to Oklahoma to race in the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational in Shawnee, OK.
