Fresh off a thrilling 52-44 triple overtime victory over Southwestern Assemblies of God, Texas Wesleyan gets back on the bus and will take a seven-hour trip to Goodwell, Oklahoma to meet up with Oklahoma Panhandle State. The Aggies have an identical record as the Rams but faired much different against the two teams' one common opponent. Both have played No. 18 Ottawa-Arizona, the Aggies getting blown out by the Spirit 47-7 just last weekend. TXWES fell one play short in Surprise, in a 43-38 defeat.
The playing surface will be much different than the first time the Rams went to Goodwell. In 2017, the Rams return season, OPSU won 65-6 on an old-school natural grass field with a pretty big slope for drainage purposes. At the start of the 2018 season, the Aggies got with the times and installed a new turf and is 3-2 on that surface. Like the Rams, Panhandle State also started with four games on the road this season and had their home opener last weekend.
