Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — The Texas Wesleyan Baseball team picked up their first conference win by beating Southwestern Christian 6-4 on Sunday.

SCU took the series 2-1, but the Rams finished with a 9-inning finale win to move to 7-6 overall and 1-2 in the league. SCU is now 19-4 overall and 2-1 in the SAC.

Kaden Brown,
Marcos Sanchez and
Matt Espinosa each had 2 hits in the game, and
Nelson Vera had 2 RBI. The Rams outhit the Eagles 11 to 8.

The Eagles struck first carrying a three-run lead into the top of the third where the Rams found the scoreboard. Brown doubled down the left field line, and the Rams tied it up in the fourth Vera also doubled down the left field line to plate two.

Both teams notched a run in the fifth, but TXWES broke the tie in the seventh getting a run after the Eagles committed two errors in the frame. Espinosa would double down the left field line himself to plate Sanchez in the ninth making it a 6-4 ballgame.

In the bottom of the ninth, the Eagles went down in order with
Jalen Evans nabbing the save on the mound allowing just two hits in three innings of work.
Matt Moclair got the win after pitching two innings allowing 1 run and 2 hits.

The Rams return home for a doubleheader with Jarvis Christian College on March 16 beginning at 1 p.m. at Sycamore Park.
