WAXAHACHIE, Texas — TXWES Baseball came out of the dugout firing on all cylinders on Sunday afternoon, as they exploded for a 16-1 victory over Southwestern Assemblies of God to sweep the series 3-0 this past weekend.

Bobby Garza always tells his guys to get on the board early, and Kevin Santiago took that seriously as he hit a leadoff homer in the first pitches of the game. Santiago was responsible for hitting the walk-off blast that lifted TXWES over SAGU 7-6 on Saturday.

With momentum on their side, the Rams climbed to a 16-0 lead by the sixth inning after plating five runs each in the fourth, fifth and sixth frames.

Kaden Brown hit a 3 run shot in the fourth, and he would have himself a day finishing 3-3 with 5 RBI.

Greyson Barrett blasted his third long ball of the series, and 14
th this season, in the fifth inning, bringing home three on his way to a 5 RBI game. He also hit a 2 RBI double in the sixth. The sophomore from Bakersfield, Calif. totaled 12 RBI this series vs SAGU.

Santiago finished the game 3-5 with 2 RBI.

Jose Sosa had 2 hits apiece.

Jaxon Ingram got the start and win on the mound. He pitched 5 shutout innings, allowing six hits, 3 walks, and he fanned two.
Matt Moclair pitched an inning of relief, allowing no hits and walking one.
Stephen Roberts closed out the game's final inning, allowing 3 hits and SAGU's lone run.

TXWES is now 20-13 overall and 9-6 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. SAGU drops to 24-22, 5-13.

The Rams will travel to LSU-Shreveport for a non-conference contest on April 20, before coming home to host Central Christian College Kansas this weekend.
