Box Score LANGSTON, OK-- The Texas Wesleyan men's basketball team (18-7, 11-6 SAC) defeated Langston (1-22, 0-14) 77-66 on Monday night at C.F. Gayles Field House.

The Rams dominated the glass with 46 total rebounds and 16 offensive rebounds which led to 10 second chance points. TXWES also imposed it's will down low with 30 points in the paint.

The Rams held Langston to 41 percent shooting from the field and to 33 percent from the three-point line. TXWES also forced 13 turnovers and recorded 2 blocks.

Junior Peyton Sallee scorched the net with 22 points on 7-12 shooting from the field and 6-10 shooting from the three-point line. Sallee also added 6 rebounds and 2 assists. 

Junior Kristian Lafayette continued his paint dominance as he captured his fourteenth double-double of the season with 19 points and 17 rebounds. This marked Lafayette's fifth game of the season with 15 or more rebounds.

Junior Lamine Komara scored 10 points, senior Vydal Bradford scored 9 points, and senior Sebastian Karwoski scored 6 points, only missing one shot.

TXWES shot 28 of 66 from the field (42 percent,) and 8 of 22 from the three-point line (36 percent.) The Rams also shot 13 of 17 from the free-throw line (76 percent.) 

TXWES notched their eighteenth win of the season on Monday night. This is the fifteenth time in the last 20 seasons that the Rams have won 18 or more games. It is the sixteenth time that TXWES has won 11 or more conference games in the last 20 years.

The Rams move to 7-3 all-time against Langston. TXWES will return home on Thursday, Feb. 10 to face Wayland Baptist at the Sid Richardson Center with tip-off set for 7:45 p.m.
