FORT WORTH-- The Texas Wesleyan men's wrestling team (3-5) defeated Wayland Baptist (3-3) 24-18 on senior night at the Sid Richardson Center.

Drake McKee were the 4 seniors honored before the dual match on Wednesday evening as they were joined by family members and friends for their special night.
TXWES started off the dual losing it's first three matches. With 7 matches left to go, the Rams trailed 14-0.
Brady Earhart energized the crowd with a dominant 18-0 win by a tech-fall against Gavin Armijo (WBU.) TXWES energized the crowd with 4 straight wins in a row to take a 15-14 lead after 7 matches.
Andres Ugalde battled tough as he earned a win by a 7-4 decision against Malakai Owens (WBU,) which earned the Rams three points,
Austin Loza stalemated his opponent with a hard fought 7-5 win by a decision against Seth Dixon (WBU.) Loza energized the crowd with his performance.
Drake McKee continued his dominance with a victory by a 12-3 major decision to cap off the four match hot-streak.
Brahn Howard outlasted Joshua Wilson (WBU) in a competitive match in the 197 bout with a win by a fall, which gave TXWES a 21-18 lead with one match left.
Deandre Rucker secured the Rams victory as he won by a 7-6 decision that had the crowd on their feet. TXWES secured a huge win against their rivals Wayland Baptist.
The four seniors went out on a high note as their last home dual ended with a victory. TXWES moves to 5-0 all-time against WBU. The Rams will host the SAC tournament on Saturday, Feb.19 at the Sid Richardson Center at 9 a.m.
