Head Coach
Bobby Garza shares his thoughts on the win, "We played some really good baseball today. Our pitching and defense deserve a lot of credit.
Garrett Moltzan was really good as our opener and he did exactly what we asked him to do. Each pitcher commanded the strike zone with competitive pitches. Our defense was clutch today. We had some serious wind that made routine fly balls significantly difficult.
Greyson Barrett and Hayden Hutchens made some good plays on tough fly balls," said Garza. "
Chaesten Chon was really good at shortstop. His ability to make plays makes it easy to have quick innings. He deserves a lot of credit."Â
Joseph Barfield recorded three hits and two RBI's in four at-bats.
Tomas Sanchez recorded 1 hit and two RBI's in three at-bats.
Jose Sosa recorded a double and one RBI in one at-bat. TXWES will face Wayland Baptist in a three game series on Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26.Â
