This year's tournament marked the end of an era, as the tournament's benefactor and namesake, Claud Jacobs, passed away Monday morning due to a prolonged illness. Claud first organized the event almost 20 years ago and was a great supporter of UHV and collegiate golf. He was a constant presence at the tournament every year, and the Texas Wesleyan golf teams counted him as a great friend. You can read his obituary here.
The Lady Rams head right back on the road this week to compete in the Keiser Kup in West Palm Beach, FL, hosted by Keiser University at Okeeheelee Golf Course March 5-7.
