On Monday and Tuesday, the TXWES Men's Golf team competed in the Allen B. Pease Intercollegiate at Rose Creek in Edmond, OK and finished second in the tournament.
The Men's Golf team finished the tournament with an 883 total (+19 over par). Senior Chayan Duha led the Rams by winning the tournament with rounds of 71, 68 and 73 (-3).
Senior Brandon Powers shot 77, 72 and 74 (+7) rounds, finishing T9 with another golfer.
Senior Nicholas Changanier shot 70, 74 and 82 (+10) rounds, finishing in twelfth solo place.
Junior Tom Ammann shot 77, 74 and 78 (+13) rounds, finishing in a fifteenth solo place.
Rounding out the Rams team scoring, sophomore Agustin Marquez shot rounds of 71, 80 and 80 (+15), finishing T22 with five other golfers.
Junior Shahyar Hamza shot rounds 81, 71 and 80 (+16, and finished T28 with one other golfer competing as an individual.
Sophomore Rory White also competed as an individual shot rounds of 79, 86 and 87 (+36), finishing in a solo 55th place.
The field in Edmond consisted of nine schools: Oklahoma City University, University of Science & Arts (OK), Northwestern College (IA), Grand View University, Hastings College, Oklahoma Panhandle University, Mount Mercy University and Tabor University.
The Rams will compete in the April Roadrunner Classic on April 3 and 4 at the Farm Golf Club in Rocky Face, GA.
