Oklahoma City –Dominic Chavez of Texas Wesleyan a was named this week's SAC Oklahoma Ford Dealers Men's Wrestlers of the Week honors for his performances during the period ending Jan. 21, 2024, as announced by the conference office Tuesday morning.
 
Chavez was outstanding as he finished the week with a 6-1 record, including a 5-1 mark at the Missouri Valley Invite by defeating four top 25 wrestlers in the 133 lb. weight class. Chavez won a pair of matches by technical fall and two matches by decision including a 10-4 victory over the No. 4 wrestler in his weight class.
