FORT WORTH, TX — The Texas Wesleyan Rams have secured a berth in the 2024 NAIA National Volleyball Tournament after capturing the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament championship. The NAIA National Office announced the tournament field on Monday afternoon.

The Rams, with a 25-8 overall record, will travel to face Bellevue University in a first-round matchup on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 6 p.m.

The Bruins, who claimed the North Star Athletic Association Tournament title, boast an impressive 28-3 record and rank second nationally with 13.56 assists per set.

Athletic Director Ricky Dotson highlighted the program's sustained success, noting the significance of this year's appearance.

"The young women on our team have shown a great amount of resilience and I feel like they fed off the tradition this program has built over the years," Dotson said. "They are a proud group and to see them come together at the most opportune time is fun to watch.  We can't wait to get to Bellevue for the Opening Round."

The winner of this opening-round contest will advance to the National Championship Final Site at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa, starting Dec. 4, where the top 24 teams will compete for the coveted national title.
