BLANCHARD —
Brady Meek claimed victory at The Battle at Winter Creek on Oct. 14, powering through a three-round tournament at Winter Creek Golf & Country Club for his third win of the season.
Meek fired rounds of 69-70-69 to edge USAO's Conner Cryer by three strokes at 211.
Jesper Brinchmann-Hansen, competing for Texas Wesleyan's B team, tied for fifth at 215 with 72-70-73. Teammates
Jose Manuel Sanchez finished 10th at 219 (70-72-77), while Yevgeniy Ryu and
Sebastian Velasquez tied for 12th at 221 (Ryu: 72-71-78; Velasquez: 73-73-75).
Luke Akerman tied for 23rd at 229,
Kolbe Fielder placed 33rd at 232, and B-team players
T.J. Gigowski tied for 15th at 223 and
Haroon Aslam tied for 28th at 230.
Benjamin Leon tied for 34th at 234 for the B squad.
The Rams' A team secured third place overall at +12, with first-round scores of -3, followed by +2 and +13. Their B team took fourth at +25. Oklahoma City won the team title at -3 (-8, -1, +6), followed by host USAO in second at +4 (-3, -1, +8). University of the Southwest rounded out the top five at +47.
Oklahoma City's Lorenzo Santinelli tied for third individually at 214 (67-74-73).
Th Rams will conclude the fall season at the Firestorm Fall Invite in Buckeye, AZ on Nov.3-4 at Verrado Golf Club.
