MGOLF: Rams Welcome Plano East Golfer Carter Cox to Signing Class

FORT WORTH -Texas Wesleyan University Head Men's Golf Coach Kevin Long has announced the signing of Carter Cox of Plano, Texas, to join the Rams men's golf program for the upcoming academic year.

Cox, a standout golfer at Plano East High School, brings a strong combination of competitive experience, academic achievement and leadership to the Texas Wesleyan program. Throughout his high school career, he established himself as a consistent performer on the course while also excelling in the classroom.

The Plano East product joins a Rams program that has become one of the premier men's golf programs in the NAIA, competing annually at the conference and national levels. Cox's commitment continues Texas Wesleyan's tradition of attracting talented student-athletes who embody the program's team-first mentality and commitment to excellence.

In addition to his accomplishments on the golf course, Cox has demonstrated outstanding character and dedication in all aspects of his academic and athletic pursuits, making him a natural fit for the Rams culture.

"We are excited to welcome Carter to our Ram Golf Family," said Long. "He is an experienced and talented player who also excels in the classroom and has exceptional character. Carter will be a great fit for our team-first culture, and we look forward to him having a successful career."

Cox will join the Rams for the 2026-27 season and begin his collegiate career at Texas Wesleyan this fall.
