FORT WORTH - Texas Wesleyan will host the 29th Annual O. D. and Maurice Bounds Golf Classic on Monday, Sept. 28, at Diamond Oaks Country Club in Fort Worth. This year's tournament will benefit both the men's and women's golf programs equally, and will provide funds to supplement athletic scholarships, increase travel opportunities, and provide extra equipment, among other enhancements.
In the 2025-26 season, the men's team won one team title, finished second at conference and qualified for the NAIA National Championship for the 62nd time in program history. The squad had three different players win five individual titles, and the team had two players earn All- American and seven earned Scholar-Athlete honors.
The women's team won five regular season events, won the conference championship and finished tenth at the NAIA National Championship. Junior
Makena Junkin capped off her record setting season with a one-stroke victory at Nationals, the first TXWES female golfer to earn the medalist honor. The team also concluded the season with two players earning All-American and four earning Scholar-Athlete awards.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The entry fee includes golf, cart, range balls, lunch, dinner, four beverages and tee prizes. Play will be a four-person shamble (select best drive, play own ball from there), counting the low two balls for each hole. Awards will be presented in two flights, the Blue and the Gold.
