PLAINVIEW, TX – Texas Wesleyan University (8-4) went 3-1 in the Wayland Baptist Invitational. The Rams lost the first game but then turned it around and won three in a row to create a winning streak.

The Rams had last seen Wayland Baptist in the Javelina Classic in Kingsville, TX where the Rams defeated the pioneers 5-0. The Rams faced off against the Trojans of Trinidad State for the first time in the program's history.

The Rams lost their first matchup against Wayland Baptist 5-0, a match in which the Rams unfortunately couldn't find any traction and ultimately fell to the Pioneers with only one set win out of eleven played.

The Rams then faced off against the Trojans and had an astounding win of 5-0, they took the lead early on and never let go as all five teams shut down the Trojans. The Rams second match against the Pioneers was extremely close as they Rams won a close one 3-2, the Rams top three teams all secured a win to help lift the Rams up on top. The Rams finished the Wayland Invitational on a win, defeating the Trojans once again 5-0.

The Rams are 7-1 in their last eight matches and are looking to continue their solid play in their next tournament. The Rams travel to Thibodaux, LA to compete in the Beach Bayou Battle where they'll see Loyola University (LA), University of Mobile (AL), McNeese State, and Nicholls University. The first match for the Rams take place on Friday, Mar 28 at 10:30am.
