WTEN: Texas Wesleyan to Compete in Heart Women’s Tennis Conference Tournament

KANSAS CITY — Texas Wesleyan University will take on Grand View University in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Tournament, set for Friday and Saturday, April 18–19, at the Plaza Tennis Center, 4747 Baltimore Ave.

The event marks the first time the Heart of America Athletic Conference is hosting a women's tennis tournament. The single-elimination event will determine the conference champion, with the winning team earning an automatic bid to the 2025 NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship, scheduled for May 13–17 in Mobile, Alabama.

The quarterfinal match Friday between No. 3 seed Texas Wesleyan and No. 6 Baker will begin at 9 a.m. on courts 7–12. No. 4 Missouri Valley and No. 5 John Brown will compete simultaneously on courts 1–6. Top seeds William Woods (No. 1) and Missouri Baptist (No. 2) have first-round byes.

The semifinal matches are set for 2:30 p.m. Friday, followed by the championship match at 10 a.m. Saturday on courts 1–6.
