FB: Texas Wesleyan Football Announces 2025 Schedule

FORT WORTH — Texas Wesleyan University has unveiled its 2025 football schedule, highlighted by five home contests at Crowley ISD Multi-Purpose Stadium and several high-profile road matchups, including a season opener at national power Lindsey Wilson College and a game against NCAA Division I FCS newcomer UT Rio Grande Valley.

Led by second-year head coach Brad Sherrod, the three-time Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) champions will open the season on Friday, Aug. 28, in Columbia, Kentucky, when the Rams face perennial NAIA contender Lindsey Wilson.

Following an early bye week, Texas Wesleyan heads to Tyler to take on Texas College on Sept. 13 before traveling to Edinburg for a Sept. 20 matchup against UT Rio Grande Valley, which is entering its inaugural football season.

The road swing continues on Sept. 27 in Waxahachie against fellow Metroplex-based opponent Nelson University. The Rams will make their highly anticipated home debut on Saturday, Oct. 4, when they host Arkansas Baptist College at 2 p.m.

The October slate features a home game against Louisiana Christian University (Oct. 11), a non-conference visit to NCAA Division III powerhouse Mary Hardin-Baylor (Oct. 18), and a pivotal SAC clash at home against Langston University on Oct. 25.

Texas Wesleyan wraps up the regular season with a road game at Oklahoma Panhandle State on Nov. 1, followed by two crucial home matchups against Ottawa University Arizona (Nov. 8) and Wayland Baptist University (Nov. 15).

The Rams will play all five home games at Crowley ISD Multi-Purpose Stadium, with kickoff times set for either 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. CT.

Coming off a strong finish to the 2024 season, Texas Wesleyan aims to contend for a fourth straight SAC title and their second consecutive berth in the NAIA Football Championship Series.
