PARK CITY — Samantha Barragan secured a bronze medal and two teammates joined her as All-Americans to lead Texas Wesleyan University to a 10th-place finish with 55 points at the 2026 NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championships on Saturday.
Barragan, at 138-pounds, reached the semifinals before bouncing back in the consolation bracket. She claimed third place with a 12-2 technical fall over Maci Avila of Midland in the bronze-medal match.
Carolina Rios placed sixth at 117 pounds. She dropped the fifth-place match by fall to Grace Lashinsky of Lindsey Wilson in 4:13.
Carla Campos finished fourth at 207 pounds. She fell in the third-place match to Leilani Sanchez of Wayland Baptist in just 56 seconds.
The three Rams earned All-America honors in the fourth annual event, held at Heartland Credit Union Arena. Life University repeated as team champion with 169 points, followed by William Penn at 158.5.
