LOUISVILLE, KY - Texas Wesleyan softball players
Haylie Delarosa and
Kylie Barnes were once again named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region Teams. Delarosa was named to the Region IV First Team for the first time in her career and Barnes was named to the Region IV Second Team once again.
Both Delarosa and Barnes were leaders offensively for the Rams as Delarosa set a new program record with 81 hits in a season and Barnes set a new program record with 21 doubles in a season.
Oklahoma City University (Region III) placed a division-best and maximum eight players on its All-Region list, including five on the first team. University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma (Region IV) and Saint Xavier University (Region V) each matched the Stars' five first teamers, and were two of four squads with six selections overall. Central Methodist University (Region V) and Madonna University (Region VI) also had six players picked.
Keiser University (Region II) and Missouri Baptist University (Region VI) received five All-Region nods apiece, while five other schools got four, 11 more had three, 12 earned two, and 28 had one.
All honorees move forward to be considered for selection for the two NFCA NAIA All-America teams, which will be announced June 4.
