Danny Mijovic was a four-time All-American and is the only player at any collegiate level to win an individual national championship in all four years. He played in four NAIA Men’s Golf National Championships tournaments from 1980 to 1983, winning the individual title each time. During his time at Texas Wesleyan, the Rams scored four consecutive national runner-up finishes and won twenty-four collegiate tournaments, while Mijovic was individual medalist in nine tournaments. He also won the ’83 Mid-Atlantic Amateur and the ’83 Canadian Amateur tournaments.

Mijovic’s career did not end at Texas Wesleyan, and after graduating with a degree in business administration he represented Canada on the World Amateur Team (Eisenhower Trophy) in 1984 before turning professional. His first win as a pro came in his first tournament at the Mexican Open in 1984. He became a 1984 Porter Cup Champion, and recorded four second place finishes on the Asian tour. Mijovic has played in three British Open Championships, making the cut each time, has shot four 61s in tournament play, and still holds three course records around the world. In 2011, Mijovic will also be inducted in to the NAIA Hall of Fame in a ceremony in Silvas, IL.
