As head coach of the Rams for 40 years, O.D. Bounds was one of the most respected men in the golfing world and a legend at Texas Wesleyan and the NAIA.  He was the first coach to ever be inducted into the NAIA Golf Hall of Fame and first person inducted into Texas Wesleyan’s Athletic Hall of Fame.  He led the Rams to 109 career tournament victories.  He led the squad to three national titles and 23 finishes in the Top 5 in his 40-year career.  Not only was O.D. a great coach, mentor, and friend, he was also a great teacher.  He taught accounting at Texas Wesleyan for over 40 years.  O.D. can best be remembered by one of his quotes: "I always looked forward to each year that came around because I learned more from them than they learned from me."
