FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan women's basketball team (4-11, 2-5 SAC) powered to a dominant 69-49 win over No. 19 John Brown University (10-5, 4-2 SAC) at the Sid Richardson Center on Thursday.

The Lady Rams made it as cold on the court as the icy air that blew into North Texas Thursday night, and JBU could never get warm. TXWES notched their fourth consecutive game of 20 or more team assists, something that hasn't happened in over 16 years.

The Lady Rams shot 46 percent from behind the arc, while holding the nation's best three-point shooting team to just 19 percent. Â Texas Wesleyan limited the Golden Eagles to 30 points below their season scoring average.

Texas Wesleyan never trailed, converting 17 JBU turnovers into 23 points in the win. The Lady Rams controlled the contest from tip-off and made a loud and clear statement after knocking off a ranked conference opponent.

The Lady Rams, who currently rank seventh in the nation in made three pointers per game (8.429), made 12 tonight. The team also ranks 12th in steals per game with 12. Â

Nicole Gleason was on fire tonight, going 6-9 from downtown, leading the way with 24 points. She added seven rebounds, five assists, and four steals in the win.

Evie Whorley dropped in 13 points and eight boards.
Tomi Sanchez contributed 11 points for the Lady Rams.
