FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University women's basketball team (5-11, 3-5 SAC) held off Bacone College (11-5, 3-4 SAC) in a 62-59 brawl at the Sid Richardson Center on Saturday.

TXWES played stout defense in the final two minutes of the game to hold off a scrappy Bacone college team. The Warriors used an 8-0 rally to take a 55-53 lead with 2:39 remaining in regulation, but
Falesha Fuller immediately responded by completing a three-point play to regain the lead. The Lady Rams held off the charging Warriors to earn their second straight.

The Lady Rams held their opponent to under 20 percent from the three-point line for the second consecutive game, while tallying 18 steals as a team in the turnover filled affair. TXWES shot their season average 40 percent from the floor, while Bacone hit just 33 percent.

Nicole Gleason led the way again, this time with 16 points, going 6 of 12 from the floor.
Evie Whorley posted her third double-double behind 12 points and 12 boards. Fuller had 12 points and five rebounds in 12 minutes of action.
Lorian Benjamin matched a career high seven steals in the win.

The Lady Rams make the short trip to Waxahachie, TX for a conference game against SAGU on Monday, January 15 at 6:00 p.m. The Lady Lions are the nation's fifth best three-point shooting squad at 38 percent.
