GOODWELL, Okla.-- The Texas Wesleyan Women's Soccer team defeated OPSU 1-0 on the road Friday afternoon.

Mikayla Trevino (6) blasted the game-winning goal into the back of the net on an assist from freshman
Vanessa Soriano (3) to put TXWES ahead 1-0.
"I'm really proud of this group for getting the win today," said head coach

Reese Blanton gets her first shutout of the season as she allowed no goals. The Lady Rams defense was very stout and did not allow OPSU to take many shots on goal.
The Lady Rams end their 4 game losing streak with a strong offensive attack. The Lady Rams dominated possession and also earned 3 corner kicks on the afternoon.
TXWES earns their first win in conference play to move to 6-5-2 overall and 1-4-1 in league play. The Lady Rams will host Southwestern Assemblies Of God University on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at Martin Field.
