Head coach
Bobby Garza was pleased with the performance of his team at the plate, "Our bats were alive again. The offense had a really good day of practice yesterday and it was good seeing them benefit from the work," said Garza. Garza was also pleased with the offensive performance of his center-fielder, "
Tomas Sanchez (Player of the Game) led the way and everyone followed suit. We did a really good job putting the first ball we swung at in play. Our hitters didn't expand the zone and that allowed us to stay in advantage count at bats. This was a good win for us. We needed this win. It's been a rough week dealing with some guys being out so today's win was a great way to start the series."
