DALLAS-- The Texas Wesleyan men's golf team is in first after day 1 of the 4-HIM Classic at the Luna Vista Golf Course in Dallas, Texas. The Rams shot 590 on day 1, led by
Chayan Duha who sits in first place after 36 holes of play.
Duha shot 144 and E from par, scoring 72 in both rounds. All 5 Rams competing in the tournament finished in the top 10 on day 1 of competition. Peter Weng finished the day tied for second, shooting 146 in two rounds of play.
Tyron Davidowitz and
Nicolas Changarnier tied for fourth, both shooting 146 after two rounds of play.
Rustyn Goolsby finished in sixth place, shooting 152 and
Calvrann Coker shot 162, finishing tied for ninth place.
The team posted three Eagles and 36 birdies. Weng posted 9 birdies, Duha had 7 birdies, Davidowitz had 6 birdies, and Goolsby had 6 birdies. Duha also posted 22 pars.
Campbellsville--Hburg finished second on the day shooting 622, and Central Christian finished third shooting 654.
TXWES will compete in day 2 of the 4-HIM Classic at Luna Vista tomorrow morning with tee-off time at 8 a.m.
