Box Score OKLAHOMA CITY-- The Texas Wesleyan softball team (8-3) defeated Texas A&M-San Antonio (6-9) 3-0 on Saturday morning in the final day of the Red-Dirt Classic.
The Lady Rams extend its win streak to 7 games. TXWES has found its stride early in the season with solid pitching, consistent offense, and reliable defense.
A huge part of the recent success is the pitching duo of
Taylor Tubbs and
Dylann Kaderka. Tubbs dominated in her outing on the mound aginst A&M-San Antonio, pitching a complete game shutout. Tubbs gave up 7 hits, recorded six strikeouts, and gave up no runs in 29 batters faced.
TXWES used a 3 run second inning to propel it to victory. A double to left center by
Kylie Summers scored
Jaeley May to give the Lady Rams an early 1-0 lead.
Mercedes Beltran hit a single to second base that allowed
Kylie Summers and
Ajah Jackson to score on a throwing error to extend the Lady Rams lead to 3-0.
TXWES scored three runs on 7 hits and recorded 3 RBI's.
Kylie Summers and
Breanna Leathers both hit doubles.
Mercedes Beltran also recorded a stolen base.
Mercedes Beltran went 2 for 3 recording1 RBI,
Breanna Leathers went 2 for 2, recording 1 RBI, and

The Lady Rams hit the field at 2 p.m. for its final game of the Red-Dirt Classic at Hall of Fame Stadium.
