DALLAS, TX-- The Texas Wesleyan baseball team (24-13, 10-5, SAC) defeated Jarvis Christian College (8-31) 8-3 on Tuesday afternoon at Oates Field to extend its win-streak to four games.

Bobby Garza shared his thoughts on playing at the Texas Rangers Youth Academy, "It was a good day at the Texas Rangers Youth Academy. We are so thankful that they opened up their facilities for us. We have developed a great relationship with them and look forward to continuing bringing college baseball to the academy," said Garza.

Garrett Moltzan was really good through 4 innings. He commanded the breaking ball well and was ahead of a lot of hitters.
David Theriot and
Brayden McAlister got weak contact and allowed our defense to make plays," said Garza. "Our offense came alive during the middle innings with
Joseph Barfield and
Aiden Kenney leading the way on some timely hits and timely RBI's. We played a pretty solid game today and hope to continue into the weekend."
After giving up one run in the top of the fourth inning, TXWES responded with a run of their own to even the game at one after
Marcos Sanchez beat out an infield single to the shortstop to score
Joseph Barfield. In the fifth inning
Matt Espinosa hammered a no doubt homerun down the left field line to give the Rams a 2-1 lead. In the sixth inning Sanchez poked a single through the right side to score
Manny Luna to make the score 3-1.
The Bulldogs fought back to tie the game at three in the top half of the seventh inning. In the bottom half of the inning
Aiden Kenney scorched a double to left-centerfield to to score
JD Padgett.
Jose Sosa laced a triple to deep center-field to score Kenney and and
Joseph Barfield recorded a sac-fly to center field to extend the lead to 6-3.
In the eighth inning, Kenney hit a two-run triple to seal an 8-3 victory for the Rams.
Garrett Moltzan recorded a solid outing with six strikeouts in four innings and only gave up one run on three hits.
Brayden McAlister struck out three batters in 2.1 innings of work and gave up one earned run
Morgan McCloud closed the game out with two innings of work, recording three strikeouts, allowing no runs.
Marcos Sanchez went three for four at the plate with two RBI's and one run scored.
Aiden Kenney went two for four with three RBI's and one run scored. TXWES will face Oklahoma City in a three game series on Friday at 4 and 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday at 1 p.m.Â
