Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 FORT WORTH, TX. – Friday evening, The Texas Wesleyan Rams collected a double-header sweep against Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies to open conference play. The Rams would finish the day with two 4-0 victory in game one, followed by a 4-1 win in the finale.
 
Game one would see the Rams strike first in the bottom of the second inning with EB Zimmerman scoring the first run of the day. From here Texas Wesleyan would have an offensive spurt that would see two more Rams score to take a 3-0 lead over the Aggies. Behind the impressive pitching from Abbie Bird, OPSU struggled to score as the Rams would hold their opponents to a goose egg for the entire game. Kylie Barnes would score one more time for Texas Wesleyan in the bottom of the sixth inning and the Rams would close game one out 4-0.

Game two would be much closer than the first as both teams would remain scoreless until the fifth inning. It was here that Alyssa Bates would score, and the Rams would take the first lead of the game. Using this newfound momentum, Izzy Valenzuela stepped to the plate and would knock a ball out of the park for the home run. With a runner already on base the Rams would go up 3-0. Texas Wesleyan would go on to score once more as OPSU found themselves down again heading into the final inning. The Aggies would do their best to cut the deficit, even scoring their first run of the day, but the Rams would hold on to their lead to close out the day and take home a 4-1 victory.
 
 Tomorrow the Rams will be back in action at Sycamore Park for day two of the series with Oklahoma Panhandle State University. Game one will being at 1:00 PM followed by game two 30 30 minutes after.
