SB: Rams Ranked Sixth in SAC Pre-Season Softball Poll

Oklahoma City. OK- The Texas Wesleyan Rams have come in sixth in the Sooner Athletic Conference pre-season poll as voted on by the coaches.

The Rams are coming off a year in which they finished the season at 25-27 and sixth in the conference.

 After winning the 2024 Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament title, Science & Arts will begin the Softball season as the top team in the conference.

Science & Arts earned 79 points in the voting while garnering seven first-place tallies, with Oklahoma City placing a close second with 75 points and three first-place votes. Mid-America Christian will start the season in the third slot with 64 points while Southwestern Christian and Wayland Baptist tied for fourth in the voting with 50 points.

The Drovers advanced to the 2024 NAIA Tournament Final Site and ended their campaign in third place nationally after falling to Jessup 3-2 in the loser's bracket final. Science & Arts finished the 2024 regular season with an overall record of 49-8 and a league mark of 30-5. The Drovers will also begin the season ranked second in the 2025 NAIA Coaches Preseason poll released in November of 2024.

The Rams season will begin February 7 on the road in the LSUA General's Showdown in Alexandria, LA.
